Ljuskronan från kyrkan

Vykort/Post card # 25 Ankarsrum

In English

Kerstin is a watercolorist best known for her works that feature antique decorations and furniture in authentic environments. Framed and unframed prints of her work are found in better stores throughout Sweden.

Kerstin incorporates the properties of light into her watercolors. “One should be able to feel and see if it’s autumn, morning or evening….to gain a sense of the history behind objects in the painting….the imagination is stimulated….who could, or had lived, in the space shown?”

Kerstin was born in 1955 in Lycksele and now resides in the South Sunderbyn area of Northern Sweden’s Luleå municipality. She has had a strong interest in art since she was a child and worked to develop her artistic skills through Sunderbyn College’s art program and later through seminars for established artists.

All work featured in these pages are original art by Kerstin. As you will see, she has gone beyond making prints of her work. Postcards, refrigerator magnets, placemats and puzzles are some of products of her atelier.
